What we do

The Founders of Tukata Foundation have successfully run two private schoosl in Vientiane, Lao since 2009.

For Students, For Teachers, For Community
For Students
Every student needs the basic tools to attend school. While public schools are free to little cost, supplies for schools can be expensive for rural parents. Every school year Tukata provides each child in the schools it supports with enough school supplies for the school year.

For Teachers
Tukata provides every teacher in the schools it supports with supplies for their classroom for a school year.

For Community
In addition to supporting schools, Tukata Foundation follows the “it takes a village” philosophy. We support the village with clothing and blanket donations for the cold weather faced in Northern Laos. We provide basic medical kits to the village and eyeglasses to the elderly. We work with each Village chief to asses exactly what the village needs

We support construction of basic, clean learning environments that the community can be proud of and keep maintained. Construction materials are donated by Tukata Foundation however the villagers themselves do the work giving a sense of ownership to the project.

WHY WORK IN SAM NUEA?
Because Xam Nuea is geographically remote, there is very little NGO activity in the area. Villagers there are very grateful for any help received and are very supportive of long term sustainable projects.
